Varun Badola and his wife Rajeshwari Sachdev Badola had a great and auspicious time spending time with Ganpati Bappa in their building’s residence. The couple made sure that the festival organized by the kids of their building, under their guidance, does learn about the environment problems as well. “It was the kids of our complex who initiated the whole thing. It was a great experience and a touching one too. Infact it bought all our society and loved ones together which is very hard thing to do in this busy and fast running world. We made sure that we got an eco-friendly Ganesha, seeing the environmental problems the world is facing,” says Rajeshwari. Varun too was involved with the different activities but laughingly admits, “I didn’t helped my wife when she was busy cooking Prasad for the devotees.”

Close on the heels of Shah Rukh Khan's Newark ordeal comes the news that Sanjay Dutt has been denied visa to visit US. Sanju was really looking forward to meeting his daughter Trishala but thhis visa was turned down on grounds that he he reportedly has a so-called criminal record. And as most people will know that the authorities are very strict about such matters. Poor Sanju had no choice but to return from the consulate empty handed.
However, his Man Friday Dharam Oberoi insists that Sanjay had gone to the consulate to meet his friends and insisted that there was no question of him being denied a US visa.

Salman says, “What Shah Rukh does or says is not of the least interest to me but he is one of the most insecure actors. If he could get rid of that he would actually be a nice fellow. When we were all starting out in our careers, and were in the Rs 4 to 5 lakh bracket, we were friends. As we became more and more famous, he grew more insecure.”

On being linked up with many girl, Salman says, Two people may have just begun dating, they need time to know one another, to understand one another and you people start writing that they are in a relationship. That puts an awful amount of pressure on them and they are almost forced to get into a relationship.When they find they are not terribly compatible and don’t want to take the relationship further, you people say, he is changing girlfriends all the time.” Huh?

From the last couple of days, the news channels are going ballistic with the breaking news about Salman Khan being the next Bollywood personality (After Preity Zinta, Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla and Shilpa Shetty) who will buy an IPL team. There also live SMS surveys going around on channels to gauge the public mood!
However, that is far from the truth. When we contacted Salman's brother, Sohail Khan, through a TV journalist, Sohail said clearly " Salman bhai is not buying any IPL team. He did meet the IPL Commissioner, Lalit Modi, and enquired about the involved costs and procedures for becoming an IPL franchisee. But there are chances that he (Salman) may become the brand ambasador of one of the teams."
